We crashed at Scotty's last night and woke up early this morning to catch Muni over to SBC Park for the
Giants/Dodgers game. Why so early? Because the Santa Clara University Alumni Association was having a
tailgate, and free beer is a good thing. The weather was awesome, (Dave drove up from San Jo and said it was
raining when he left.) and the game was fun. The stupid Giants lost, so that wasn't fun, but we saw Barry hit
a splash homer - number 663. Probably pretty insignificant in the overall picture but cool nonetheless.
After the game we walked over to Gordon Biersch to grab some garlic fries and other snacks before heading over
to Slim's for the second
Mother Hips show of the weekend.
Once again, they rocked the house, and we had a blast. After the show we headed across the street to
Butter for our usual post Slim's
ritual. Unfortunately, we were disappointed, because while we did have some beers and Jello shots, there were
no women dancing on the bar. That's the first time that's (not) happened...a sad night indeed.
