When one leaves one's position at a university, it is appropriate to take a moment to reflect on the contributions one has made to the shaping of minds and brightening of futures. It is then appropriate to take a three hour lunch to drink margaritas, do tequila shots, and then spend the remaining part of the work day at Conference Room C (aka The Hut) getting totally plastered. Yep, it was John's last day at Santa Clara University, and we sent him off in style. And by "in style" I mean inebriated. Lunch at Chevy's with three pitchers of margaritas and two rounds of tequila shots? Check. Party at The Hut with multiple pitchers of beer and waaaaaaay too many rounds of shots? Check. A visit from Santa Clara PD to make sure we walked home? Check. All in all I'd say John's last day was a raging success. I sure hope he comes back some day so he can leave again!
